Infinity Ps 12. Infinity PS212WBK 12" Wireless Powered Subwoofer (Black) does wattage really matter or is the contruction and components of the sub more important.. Got it today and it sounds about the same as my infinity ps-12 did, so I'm very happy

I have an Infinity IL120S subwoofer, and I've seen the same 12" driver I have being used in other models, maybe the new Harmon Infinity's are sharing some parts in a similar manner to the vintage Infinitys. C65, a capacitor near the IR2111 IC was 470uF/16v, it has been changed to 47uF/16v.

By all accounts the ps 12 is decent enough--maybe the floor model had been overdriven too many times for too long that it is damaged? $189 it was tough to pass up for sure does wattage really matter or is the contruction and components of the sub more important.. Take my advice, avoid infinity subs, they are unreliable
